6-13-21 Impromptu Family reunion

A couple weeks ago I had texted Bill and asked if we could try to meet at Stefs with the family.  He, of course, said yes.  Part of the problems yesterday were when Bill texted that he had to change it to the Winghaven location.  Seemed ok with me, but Ken got snippy and said to cancel it.  After some words and tears, we agreed to go.

But first---breakfast at the Drury.

computer room at the Drury---like the map of St. Charles on the wall.
also watched this on the St. Louis news---a guy in Marietta talking about how to get rid of weeds in your lawn in the Atlanta area.  Something I'm struggling with there.
anyway---I think the change to Winghaven was a good idea.  We had the place mostly to ourselves.  We had a lot of family there, too!  I was surprised to see all the nieces and nephews and their kids.

Even a kid we don't know there with nephew Brian.

Bill looked troubled most the time.
Jeff was working, but came out a couple times.
My brother and Jane even made it up from Mt. Vernon.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves (except Bill)

the remaining LaBeaume brothers (Mike died just over a year ago)

Kayla and Michelle cracking up

After visiting for about 6 1/2 hours, we headed back to the hotel---just in time for the night time "snacks".
Even got to watch the Cardinal game while eating our hotel complimentary dinner.
I was impressed with the set up here.
the lobby was nice, too.
back in the room, I checked out the sunset from our bedroom.

Back in Georgia----Layla was looking cute as always!

they even made it to their neighborhood pool
And that ended another good day there in St. Louis.
