9-27-21 more beach time!!!!

 Another beautiful day.  What better way to start it then to with doughnuts!?  So I took Layla and she and I went to get doughnuts.  We were intrigued by this doughnut place because of it's name.  Turned out the only make cake doughnuts---fine with me, but everyone else had mentioned they prefer raised doughnuts.  They also make them fresh to order.  Being cake doughnuts didn't seem to keep anyone from eating them.

 Looking down at the lazy river----or exercise river!  One of the events they offer at the resort is exercising here.  Would have liked to have done that!

 

Angie mentioned going to Lane Bryant nearby, so I was happy to accompany her.

Nice being able to be the passenger in the car for a change!

Will have to take Layla to play putt putt some day

Layla did say several times that she wanted to ride on this.  Angie said no way!  I could see Layla being terrified as it went up in the air.  She's very cautious. 

Back at the condo, it was time to get down to the beach!

I love that the beach is so broad and shallow so Layla can run around in the water and not get pulled out into the deep water.

She loved being able to run around on her own

I loved being able to sit in a beach chair and have the water roll up over my feet.

eventually Layla and I went in so she could jump the waves, but it was pretty shallow even out this far

 Back up to the shade for a little bit and time to play in the sand.

Then back down to the water's edge---with some of the sand toys.  We went down the beach a little bit to where there was even a larger water covered sandy area.

This is the most perfect beach I've seen for sitting by and letting kids play in!

I think Mom and DAd enjoyed being up by the tent by themselves for so much of the time.

 After 4 or 5 hours, we decided it was time to check on Ken and hit the pool for a bit.  Ken was happily chatting with an older lady when Layla and I got to him.  Angie and Josh took the tent down and put everything in their car, then joined us.  We hit the lazy river for a little bit before heading back up to the room.  After a little debate, we decided on Burger Fi for dinner.  

And enjoyed another sunset from our lanai

Another great day coming to an end.
