We had hoped to take the ferry boats from Disney Springs to Port Orleans. But, unfortunately, they weren't running yet. Things are beginning to open up from a year of shut downs because of Covid, but there are still a lot of things that aren't back to normal.
While
we waited for Angie and Josh to get up, Layla entertained us. I
brought a bag of balloons. She had a lot of fun playing with them and
we didn't worry about her breaking anything.
Once Mom and Dad were up, I made us breakfast, then we headed out. The plan was to go to the Disney Outlet, then to Disney Springs. Of course plans don't always go as hoped. The Disney Outlet had a 3 hour virtual wait until we could get in. So we just headed to Disney Springs.
They weren't as concerned about Covid restrictions there.
Layla pointing out the Disney heads in the rails.
she's enamored with her plastic centipede. So when Mom pulled it out of her purse, she had to play with it awhile.
Mom and Layla on their $10 train ride---all of about 2 minutes worth. Yep, we're in Disney!
I had gotten Layla a Mr. Potato Head for A-Day, so she was tickled to see him here.
Not sure what she was trying to do here!
Now to find her a Mrs. Potato Head.
in the Disney ornament store. Cute ornaments, but not $20 cute.
Last year she saw this waterfall from a distance and was so excited. She went running up to it right as the crocodile opened it's mouth. That terrified her and she climbed up me trying to get away. A year later she knows it's fake and wasn't scared.
Mom---you just had surgery! You aren't suppose to be holding Layla!!!!
Now the crocodile amused her.
one of the bridges in Disney Springs.
There's even a Rainforest Cafe here.
Angie sprucing Grandpa up. It's actually a wheel chair dress---most likely for little girls.
Masks were still required inside the shops.
Mom and Dad took Layla into Goofy's kitchen for a treat. Angie said she picked out the biggest cookie there. She's no dummy!!!
at least she didn't eat it all at once. Took her about 3 days to eat it.
Back at the resort---time to hit the pool. So we walked over to the "little" pool. Ken even went and visited.
Layla posing so cutely!
The pool felt great. Probably only about 82 degrees, but not bad.
may be small compared to the water park, but plenty big for us.
Layla didn't know about the water park, so she was more then happy here. We planned to take her to the water park on another day, but she got pretty sick before then, so we didn't go to the water park.
Dinner at the condo---the kids went and picked up pizza. It was good.
